Welcome to Reality, the Junior High Youth Group site of Countryside Christian Center. The middle school years, in my opinion, from 6th-8th grade are one of the most critical times in a young person's life. These in-between years are where their adult values and opinions begin to take shape. It is our desire to teach each young person that comes through our doors that the only way to quench that "deep down body thirst" is to go after God with reckless abandonment. We believe that God desires to give each young person a mind-boggling, spirit awakening, intense revelation of Himself that would cause them to truly "Get Real" with Him.
Ephesians 1:17-19...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better....that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength ...
Our youth meetings are a time to meet new friends and celebrate what Jesus has done for us on the cross. (Oh, not to mention the obsession we have in playing messy games!) We experience awesome worship with our live band and teach the truth about life that is found in God's Word, the Bible. I believe that God has an awesome plan for each young person and that He is ready to do something awesome in this generation through THEM -- something like never before! My prayer is that each young person would never settle for anything less than God's best and that they would become the world changers they were destined to be!
