Small Groups
Who do you like to spend time with?
People who enjoy the same interests you do? People who want to accomplish the same goal as you? People who share a similar need or stage of life as you? You could lead a small group!
Small groups are where we can share our strengths and life passion with friends. We can develop a network that will coach one another through life 's ups and downs. The secret to success is powerfully connecting with both God and people -- living life better through biblical relationships.
Why Small Groups?
The Lord desires us to have a personal relationship with Him. He is a relational God. We are created in His image, so we are, therefore, relational-beings. Too many of us attend church either once or twice a week, come in the doors, enjoy the service, and then go home. Have we really connected with one another during this time?
We need each other. We are called to love one another and to stand with each other through times of trials and tribulations. We are the body of Christ....called to be His hands and feet, all of us working together in unity. The way to achieve that unity is by getting to know one another. We are to spur each one on to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24-25). How can I do this if I do not know you?
A small group will provide an atmosphere for you to get to know those around you and meet with fellow Christian brothers and sisters who have the same heart and interests as yours. A heart desiring to love and to serve the Lord and to grow in His purposes...focusing on His eternal perspective.
A small group will provide the encouragement, correction and accountability that keeps us from drifting. We do need others to help us in our pursuit of Him.
Why join a Small Group?
1. To become more connected to the rest of God 's family.
2. To better handle the pressures and struggles in life.
3. To better understand God 's Word.
4. To develop leadership skills you never knew you had!

What does the Bible say about Small Groups?
Jesus ministered to the masses, but He chose to develop the faith of His closest disciples in the context of a small group. The Book of Acts and the Epistles of Paul often make reference to the early believers meeting in homes.God 's Word exhorts us to "love one another,"to "pray for one another "and to "build up one another."Small groups offer an opportunity to better fulfill this calling as we form close relationships with each other, pray for one another 's needs, and ultimately help each other become who God has designed us to be.
"For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus...
what is important is faith expressing itself in love."
Galatians 5:6 NLT
